The New Generic Plan

Proposal for a replacement of the James R. Thompson Center in Chicago, IL.  By deploying organizational tropes of the modernist city, this project hopes to achieve unexpected effects in its circulation and relationship to an urban ground.  The city is brought into the building through an implication of streets and inverted, blossoming enfilades.
